There is also Cane Creek Park. The park facility encompasses 1,050 acres of land surrounding a 350-acre trophy bass lake. Cane Creek Park is one of only three trophy bass lakes in North Carolina. The lake is home to some of the best largemouth bass fishing in the state as well as bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Besides Can Creek there are six city parks in Monroe along with parks in Stallings, Indian Trail and Waxhaw.
